EDUCATION, SPORTS & COMMUNITY
Hout Bay Project
Discover Hout Bay, one of Cape Town’s most beautiful coastal areas where mountains and ocean meet. This diverse community is home to people from many cultures, beliefs and backgrounds, which has led to a wide range of valuable community projects.
Gap Africa offers a flexible volunteer program where you shadow local staff, learn from their daily work and gain experience across different project sites. Because there are several disciplines to choose from, you can build a volunteer schedule that matches your own interests.
Accommodation
The volunteer lodge is only a few minutes from the beach, the MyCiTi bus stop, local shops and cosy coffee bars. You can stay in a spacious shared room with an ensuite bathroom or choose a private room. The lodge is kept very clean and the super friendly team will make you feel at home. With shared kitchens, a large lounge and a balcony overlooking the ocean, it is the perfect base to live with other volunteers and explore sunny Cape Town.
